FRPC asks CRTC to add facts about CBC’s use of branded content to the 2019-379 proceeding

A day after the Forum asked the CRTC to add information about the CBC’s ‘Tandem initiative’ to brand CBC programming the Globe and Mail published an article by Simon Houpt which not only confirmed Tandem’s existence, but also quoted a CBC spokesperson as saying that CBC had been publishing branded content “for years”. The Forum has therefore today asked the CRTC to add this new information to its procedural request.
